Can additional furniture be brought into the apartment?
Yes, and feel free to rearrange the furniture as you please.
What do I need to hook up my computer to the internet?
Our internet is provided through an Ethernet system. Your computer will need an Ethernet card and cat5 cable. Most computers purchased within the last few years will have a built in Ethernet card.
When is my first payment due?
Your first rental installment is due on August 15th. Your next installment will be on October 1st. You will continue paying on the 1st of each much for the duration of the lease term. Your last rental installment will be due on August 1st of the following year.
What size are the beds?
The Commons on Kinnear provides extra long full beds.
If I pay in full, do I get a discount?
At this time there is no discount for paying you rent in advance.
If I am over 21, do I need to have a guarantor?
We require that all resident have either a guarantor or provide a deposit of three months rent.
How many people live there?
The Commons on Kinnear has the capacity to house 502 people.
Will you send me a bill each month for rent?
We do not offer a billing service at this time.
Can I pay my bill with a credit card? Is there an extra charge?
Great News! The Commons on Kinnear added a new feature that lets you pay online! View your balance, submit electronic checks, or pay with a Visa, MasterCard, or Discover from any computer. Just log on to our website, click the "Pay Rent" button. This will take you to our resident rent pay portal. There is a small convenience charge for this service.
When do I put down a deposit?
The Commons does not require a deposit. We do, however, require a non-refundable service fee due within 14 days and an application fee due at lease signing.
What if I need to cancel my lease?

Is parking available?
Garage parking is available for an additional $30.00 per month.
What utilities are included in my rent?
The Commons on Kinnear pays water, trash, sewage, internet access and extended cable. Residents are responsible for maintaining electric service through A.E.P.
Can I request an apartment or roommates?
Yes, you may pick roommates and apartments.
How close to campus are you?
The Commons is located just minutes from OSU's main campus.
When can I move in?
Our move in date for fall 2011 is Sept 19th. Although, rooms are available throughout the school year. Moving in early for fall requires you to sign an “As-Is” form, meaning you agree to take the room in the condition that the previous residents left it in. This can only be done for full units not per bedroom.
What types of leases are available?
The Commons on Kinnear offers 12 installment, individual leases.
What types of apartments/rooms are available?
The Commons on Kinnear offers efficiency, 2 bedroom, 3 bedroom and 4 bedroom apartments.
